Middle school students transitions to high schools are often bombarded with new opportunities, terminology, and concepts. Early awareness about concurrent enrollment programs can help students prepare for and take advantage of the possibility of earning college credits while in high school. Almost every post-secondary institution in Connecticut offers high schools students opportunities. This session will talk about some of the similarities and differences between them, with a focus on UConn’s Early College Experience Programs, which offers UConn courses in 208 high schools throughout the state. Also touched upon will be the differences between concurrent enrollment and exam-based options, such as Advanced Placement and International Bachelorette.
